I recently had the opportunity to try Engine 53 Food Truck in Clearwater, FL, and overall it was a solid experience with a few areas for improvement. Every Tuesday, a different food truck visits our workplace, and this week was the highly anticipated Engine 53, known for their artisan, fire-roasted personal pizzas priced between $13–$16. After browsing their menu and photos online, I expected a slightly dough-heavy pizza—which is fairly typical (and often desirable) for this style. I appreciated the convenience of their online ordering system, especially since I only have a 30-minute lunch break. I placed my order at 11:08 AM with a scheduled pickup window of 12:05 PM to align with my 12:00 PM lunch. Unfortunately, my order wasn’t ready until 12:15 PM, which cut significantly into my break. While I understand delays can happen, there was no visible line or crowd at pickup, which made the wait a bit disappointing. This retired first responder turned food truck owner serves up some truly amazing, delicious pizza—with quality and flavors that are to die for. The pizzas are hot, fresh, crispy, and full of flavor. It’s a family-owned business, and they’re always incredibly friendly. Every time I see their truck, I have to stop in. They serve the community and fellow first responders with genuine heart and dedication. Their commitment, both on and off the field, really shines through.

My first experience at this food truck and I recommend it. The crust was probably one of the best I have eaten in Florida…..it was delicious. We ordered the 10 inch Pig and Pineapple and it was delicious. It had ham, pineapple, onion and balsamic. Loved the taste. The wait time was approximately 12 minutes from order to serve.

This is the worst Pizza company I've ever tasted. A 10.00 to 15.00 dollars personal pen not pan Pizza !! They say 10 in Not... The tomato sauce is unflavorable and dry!!! The stale, dry Raw ingredients on top of the unproperly cooked sausage salami Very Cheap on the meats. The sausage!! The salami !!;the sausage and peppers they've been kept in a cooler they flash heated in a oven omg the horrible horror !! Straight trash .. I'm getting my money back!!!
